Welcome to SOUNDS OF BRUSSELS TRIBUTE TO NUJABES We honor Nujabes, the architect of a sound where jazz harmony, hip hop drums and pure emotion meet. A producer who transformed fragility into strength and gave Tokyo a timeless voice on the global beat scene. Through Samurai Champloo, his music travelled far beyond borders, connecting the golden era of 90’s and 00’s anime culture with MPC era beat machines, dusty loops and that intimate lofi trip feeling. A generation grew up between animated fight scenes, scratched DVDs, late night headphones sessions and fragile piano melodies floating over imperfect drums. At SOUNDS, the tribute unfolds as one continuous journey, starting at 19h with FATOOSAN for a Japan inspired warm up DJ set, followed at 21h by HDDD with a live SP404 machine performance, before a full live band tribute at 22h by Théo Füeg, Thomas Dimmers, Joachim Broens, Temuulen Altangerel + guest, and closing with a jam session extending the dialogue between jazz, beats and improvisation. One atmosphere. One shared pulse. A celebration of melody, texture and groove.
