J DILLA TRIBUTE / MAB'ISH + JAM

February is the month when we pay tribute to the master of the MPC, the producer who put Detroit at the center of the hip-hop map. For the second year in a row, SOUNDS celebrates his legacy with a special tribute night.
“Welcome to Belgium” invites you to a J Dilla special at the legendary jazz club SOUNDS, with Mab’ish as a special guest.
The night will start with an exclusive Dilla-focused DJ set by Halibab Matador, followed by a SP-404 live performance by Flow-er.
Mab’ish will then deliver a live set blending keyboards and machines, in a boom-bap vibe inspired by Dilla and beyond. After last year’s Dilla night with Shungu and the MF DOOM tribute in November, we’re doing it again on February 21.
